Dr. Robert Restifo is a pulmonologist with Atlantic Medical Group Pulmonary and Allergy Associates, caring for patients with chronic asthma, allergies, respiratory infections, obstructive pulmonary disease, and lung cancer. He is also an integral member of the Atlantic COVID Recovery Center, providing specialty care for patients with lingering COVID-19 symptoms that persist more than 30 days after having the virus. Fellowship-trained in pulmonology and board-certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease, Dr. Restifo utilizes state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and treatment options to address both chronic and acute pulmonary disorders that can significantly impact daily life. In practice for more than 20 years, Dr. Restifo finds person-to-person interaction with patients most rewarding. He strives to develop relationships built on trust and confidence with the goal of helping to improve the lives of those coping with respiratory issues. With a calm and caring approach, he takes the time to explain medical findings in a way that is understandable to patients. In addition to his clinical experience he has participated in numerous clinical investigations throughout his career designed to advance the understanding and treatment of pulmonary disease. He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) and a member of the American Thoracic Society. Dr. Restifo earned his medical degree from UMDNJ School of Osteopathic Medicine. He performed his residency training followed by a fellowship in pulmonary disease at University Hospital of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ (UMDNJ). Dr. Restifo is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
